Cooking with Truffles: A Chef's Guide. By Susi Gott Seguret

"This book is for the chef who has been plunged unexpectedly into cooking with truffles, and for the home cook who seeks some overarching guidelines to experimenting with this precious tuber. It is also for anyone looking for a collection of simple, doable, everyday recipes which can be confected just as well with or without truffle. Most importantly, it is a tribute to the truffle farmers who have worked and watched and waited in blind faith for their first and following crops to come to fruition, who are brave enough to embrace a seeminly impossible passion, who have generously shared their experiences with me along the way. And for the truffle itself, that dark, deep, mysterious nugget that signifies the deliciousness hidden in each of us"-Susi Gott Seguret

Please join us in addressing food insecurity during this holiday season. Use the Quantity option to donate beef to the Fauquier Community Food Bank.

We donated one of the first four cows we had USDA processed to this local charity in August 2020. Through subsequent donations, we have given almost 500 pounds of beef to the hungry. Now, through this option, we can work together to do more.

Here is how it works:

· You select the dollar level of your donation in $20 increments (Qty1 = $20, Qty 2=$40,...Qty5=$100)

· We work with the food bank to coordinate the quantity and type of meat for delivery

· We gather your donation and others, and supply the meat at our cost

· You receive a photo of your donation, and a receipt for your donation from Fauquier Community Food Bank, a registered 501(c)(3) Organization
