WHAT IS LAVENDER HYDROSOL? 

Lavender hydrosol is a versatile product derived from the steam distillation of lavender essential oil. It retains many beneficial properties of the lavender plant and has a milder aroma compared to essential oil. Here are some of the best uses for lavender hydrosol.

1. Skin Soothing 
In the world of aroma therapy, lavender has always been known to soothe and calm. It is excellent in soothing skin irritations and allergies such as poison ivy, rashes and bug bites. What makes lavender hydrosol special is that it’s the best option to soothe skin if you’re allergic to lavender oil.
2. Sedative 
The scent of lavender has proven to have strong sedative and relaxant properties. It calms nerves, soothes a tired mind and induces a deep and restful sleep.
3. Antidepressant 
While soothing nerves and relaxing the mind, lavender also dispels negativity and fights depression. Place lavender hydrosol in your non-plastic diffuser and let it run for at least 15 minutes every day while you meditate.
4. Cleansing 
Did you know that the word lavender comes from the Latin word lavare which means to clean? Yup! And lavender is indeed cleansing in nature. Use it to wipe surfaces and clean dusty furniture using a microfiber cloth. Also use it as a facial cleanser and toner.

1 dozen eggs from my happy, healthy hens! They have access to several acres that include a variety of plants that are high in minerals, not just grass. Eating eggs will be over a week old, because the freshest eggs are used for hatching. Also, the best eggs for hard boiling are eggs that are over a week old. Super fresh eggs stick to the shell.

DeCicco is a cut and come again broccoli that starts out with a medium sized head. It continues to produce side shoots and that are perfect size to throw straight into the steamer! The leaves are tender and reminiscent of collard greens.

This variety, also known as broad-leaf echinacea, is grown primarily for its larger flowers. Watch the pollinators visit the flowers, then allow to dry on the stem for a natural bird feed. This bitter herb are traditionally used to aid digestion, and this one is full of minerals and vit C. The leaves, stems, and flowers can be eaten raw or cooked. Leaves are bitter tasting, but them stem is sweet and should be blanched to soften.
