Our cattle are 100% grass fed from time of weaning until they are processed. In the spring, summer, and fall months they are on lush pasture with lots of sunlight, eating rich green grasses, legumes, and clover. We rotate our cattle through our pastures to ensure to keep the grass in a high quality, vegetative state. In the winter, we provide the cattle with high quality hay to ensure their growth and continued nutrition.

When you put a deposit down, we will reserve your spot on the selected portion of beef for an upcoming processing date. Pick-up is done at the processing facility. After you've completed your purchase, you'll be sent a pdf with all the information.

We raise our pigs in pastures with trees where they can obtain all the forage they want, this includes; nuts, grubs, and plants. We also use an all-natural, locally grown non-GMO feed along with vegetable scraps. The pigs get plenty of exercise as they run up and down the hills, roaming and rooting out whatever goodies they find. This combination of a healthy diet and plenty of fresh air and exercise produces very high quality and healthy pork. We eat and truly enjoy the meat we raise. We do not use any antibiotics or hormones to enhance growth.

When you place a deposit down, we will reserve your selected portion of pork for an upcoming processing date. Pick-up is done at the processing facility. When your purchase is complete you will be sent a PDF with all the information.

Quarters average between 100 and 120 lbs.

For whole, halves, and quarters: is the beef sold by weight of meat in your freezer, or by hanging weight, dressed weight, carcass weight or live weight? Each of these will be significantly different; live weight might be 3X the weight of the meat that goes in your freezer. We sell by weight of meat in your freezer, so that you can more clearly picture what a quarter or side includes.

Is the meat dry-aged? Ours is dry-aged for 3 weeks, which reduces fluids, develops flavor and texture, making for a denser, superior product. It also decreases the weight further, making price comparisons by weight with non-dry-aged beef more difficult. In contrast, much supermarket beef is injected with fluids which boosts its weight.

How much fat are you buying with your beef? Our beef is very low in fat, so that more of what you receive will be usable meat. Moreover, the fat from 100% grassfed cattle is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, unlike grainfed beef, which has far more Omega 6 fatty acids. Rest assured, though, that if is cooked correctly, our beef is tender and delicious.

Are processing charges included? All fees are included in our prices, including all processing and packing charges. Our processor is a small, family-owned, award-winning, USDA inspected facility located just 15 miles from our farm, that works hard to fulfill our customers' requests.

If buying a whole, half or quarter, does the per pound price include soup bones and organ meats? We sell soup bones and organ meats separately at less than the per pound price for the rest of the animal, since many people prefer not to have them. We do recommend purchasing them, though; they are excellent!
