Severance Maple Products
Hi we are Milton&Robin Severance owners of Severance’s Maple Products in beautiful Northfield, Massachusetts. Our town is on the northern border of the state abutting VT & NH. Each year in early February we start setting our taps in the maple trees and wait for the warm spring weather with day time temperatures in the mid 40 degrees and the night temperatures in the lower 20 degrees. After a warm sunny day the maple sap begins to flow. We gather up the days sap run, bring it to the sugarhouse and boil the sap on a wood fired evaporator for several hours to evaporate the excess water to produce pure maple syrup. The syrup is than bottled in different size containers and sent to the consumer right from the farm. Our kitchen staff is busy making maple candies, cream, granular sugar, maple brittle, coated nuts. Hope you enjoy our products.
