Misty Morning Ranch is a small family-run farm in North Carolina. After leaving the city life of Los Angeles, they found a beautiful 60-acre ranch in Robbins, NC. With a passion and drive for sustainability, they began researching alternatives for farming. After visiting different operations and learning as much as two city people can about farming, they settled on raising ostriches. Goodness Grows assisted in their search for a mentor. With the mentoring and support from Hilltop Ostrich Farm, Misty Morning Ranch began raising ostriches in 2016. Today, they continue to partner and work together. In 2017, Ryan’s brother, Robert, joined the farm family. At the same time, Gaby’s sister, Chisel, and Chisel’s husband, Richard, joined the ranch. Today they assist with Ranch operations.

December 10, 2024Misty Morning Ranch was an absolute magical experience for me and my family. They took our reservation last minute. It completely made our week! The staff was extremely kind, accommodating and they really took the time to teach us about their ranch. We took 5 kids and they were so helpful and patient with us. I’ll definitely be going back. We also brought home ostrich steaks!

Misty Morning Ranch is a beautiful farm with delightful owners. The farm sits on 60 acres with multiple pens of ostriches and other animals. The Olufs are mindful about kindness to the animals and the sustainability of their farm. They offer multiple products: ostrich meat, jerkey, eggs, egg shells... Nothing is wasted!
Locally grown believes in fostering sustainable and responsible food choices.
