Since 2017, the black-owned, women-led operation has continued to gentrify the plot and now is home to permaculture-raised pigs, rabbits, goats, egg-laying, and meat chicken along with fresh culinary herb sales. Today, the 225+ animal farm is run by the Jarvis family who feeds and cares for the animals and consistently learns about best practices of small-batch farming. The farm aims to be the premier local meat producer in East Durham, NC while educating and inspiring stakeholders to create healthy, natural foods. within the confines of their community.
