Our butchers use premium vacuum sealed packaging for the longest freezer life. Roughly 3-4 cubic feet of freezer space will be required to store your family's pork. Your cut list is customizable to your family's preferences or you can use our Prairie Farmstead cut list. Bacon, ham and one flavor of sausage is included if you want them.

With our whole pig bulk package, you can expect roughly 125-175 lbs of finished pork (if you are more familiar with beef, this is similar to a 1/2 beef). Our butchers use premium vacuum sealed packaging for the longest freezer life. Roughly 7-9 cubic feet of freezer space will be required to store your family's pork. We will assist you with the cut list to craft the meat selections to match your families preferences or you can use our Prairie Farmstead cut list. Our two sizes of bulk beef orders are a 1/4 or 1/2 cow. The 1/4 cow utilizes the Prairie Farmstead cut list as you are splitting a 1/2 with another family. The 1/2 cow is completely customizable for your family's preferences in cuts and packaging.

***** We Do Not Ship Lamb**** Your order must be picked up at the processor where the lamb is butchered. Just wanted to save (those of you that have to have a product delivered) some reading time.

We utilize local processors and drop off the lambs according to our reservation date(s). You (the customer) provide the instructions on how to cut and package the meat and pick up your order at the processor.

We are located in Northeast Texas, about an hour Northeast of Dallas, near the small towns of Celeste, Leonard and Wolfe City. The processors we use are typically located within half an hour of the farm. We currently use Rail 19 Quality Meat Company in Brashear Tx. The cost of processing (cut,wrap,freeze) is about $125 per lamb, depending on the complexity of your requests. Each lamb costs $275.00 and we deliver it to the processor on a date reserved for us by the processor. We typically process once or twice a year. We do not ship lamb.
