Brian's Acres

Several life events, including the birth of our 1st child, caused us to take a serious look into improving our health. That is when we came across pastured meat and learned how it benefits our health, the animal, and the environment (plus it tastes great!). We were immediately hooked and knew it was something that we wanted to try for ourselves. We decided to buy some land and teamed up with my parents to try our hand at raising chickens on pasture. In our 1st year, we raised enough for our family and found everything that we had heard to be true. That is when we decided that we wanted to share it with our community. We invite you to join us on our journey to raising healthy/happy chickens! Pastured poultry is growing chickens in the great outdoors by giving them constant access to fresh pasture. Our chickens are moved into our "chicken tractors" at about 2-3 weeks of age, at which point we are able to move them at least daily to provide them with plenty of sunshine, fresh grass, and bugs. They get plenty of room to roam and to act like a chicken, as opposed to being confined to a small area of dirt in a standard chicken house. This provides an all-around healthier alternative for the chickens, the land, and the people enjoying their superior taste.
